This Privacy Policy explains how the Lamekan mobile application ("App", "Lamekan", "we") collects, uses, stores, and shares your personal data. By using Lamekan, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Data Controller and Contact

2. Data We Collect

Lamekan collects only the data necessary to provide the service:

• Account identity: Your name, email address, and profile picture when you sign in with Google or Apple.
• Location data: Only while you are using the app (when-in-use), to recommend nearby places. We do not collect location in the background.
• Photos and camera: To pick/take a profile picture and attach images to chat, only when you choose to.
• Chat content and preferences: Your AI-assisted chat messages and the preferences you provide, used to generate place recommendations.
• Social graph: Your friendships and the users you block.
• Your content: Your favorites, reviews, and ratings.
• Notification data: Your device push token, used to send push notifications.
• Device and usage data: Anonymous crash and error logs to keep the app stable.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To generate personalized place recommendations
• To provide friendship, sharing, and group features
• To send notifications
• To ensure security, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations

4. Parties We Share Data With

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers necessary to operate the service:

• Supabase — hosting, database, and authentication
• Google Maps & Places API — map and place data
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI processing for chat and recommendations
• Apple Push Notification service (APNs) / Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — notification delivery
• Sentry — anonymous crash and error monitoring

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide the service. You can delete your account at any time:

• In the app: Profile → Settings → Privacy → "Delete account"
• By email: support@lamekan.app

When your account is deleted, all personal data associated with it is permanently removed. Temporary deactivation or freezing does not constitute deletion.

6. Your Rights

Under GDPR and Turkey's KVKK (Law No. 6698), you have the right to access, rectify, delete, and export your data. You can export your data in the app (Profile → Settings → Privacy → "Export my data") or by request to support@lamekan.app.

7. Children's Privacy

Lamekan is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from this age group.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes in the app or by email.
